Byron young 40 time

On 22 September 2026, analysis of Byron Young’s physical attributes continues to highlight his exceptional performance during the NFL scouting process. Young, the standout defensive end for the Los Angeles Rams, famously solidified his draft stock by recording an official 4.43-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. This remarkable speed for a player of his size remains a focal point for analysts evaluating his transition from a junior college prospect to a premier pass-rushing force in the professional league. His 40-yard dash time, which ranks among the fastest ever recorded for an edge defender, serves as a testament to the explosive athleticism that defines his playing style. Throughout the current 2026 season, observers have noted how this elite speed allows Young to consistently beat offensive tackles off the edge and track down mobile quarterbacks. As he continues to develop his technical pass-rush repertoire, his foundational speed remains the primary metric used to explain his ability to disrupt backfields and maintain high-level production against elite NFL offensive lines.
