Norway national football team

On 22 September 2026, reports confirmed that the Norway national football team is finalizing preparations for their upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures. Under the continued leadership of manager Ståle Solbakken, the squad is under significant pressure to secure promotion to League A. The team’s recent training sessions in Oslo have focused heavily on integrating emerging talents alongside established stars like Erling Haaland and Martin Ødegaard. Solbakken emphasized the importance of tactical discipline and defensive stability, areas that have been identified as critical following inconsistent performances in the previous international window. With the competition intensifying, the Norwegian Football Federation has expressed full confidence in the current coaching staff, despite public scrutiny regarding the team's ability to qualify for major tournaments. The upcoming matches are viewed as a litmus test for Norway’s aspirations to establish themselves as a consistent force in European football. Players have reported high morale, with the squad aiming to capitalize on home-field advantage to climb the group standings and silence critics ahead of the next World Cup qualification cycle.
