Has noah ark been found

On 24 September 2026, a team of international geologists and archaeologists published a comprehensive study in the Journal of Archaeological Science regarding the Durupınar site in eastern Turkey, long speculated to be the resting place of Noah’s Ark. For decades, proponents have pointed to the boat-shaped formation as evidence of the biblical vessel. However, this latest research utilizes advanced ground-penetrating radar and core sampling to conclude that the formation is a natural geological structure. The study identifies the site as a syncline—a fold of stratified rock—rather than a man-made object. Researchers noted that the chemical composition of the soil samples contains no evidence of ancient timber or pitch, which would be expected if a wooden structure of that magnitude had decayed there. While the findings provide a definitive scientific explanation for the site's unique shape, the report acknowledges that the cultural and religious significance of the region continues to draw explorers. The team emphasized that their findings rely on modern geophysical data, effectively ruling out the site as the location of the ark.
