Mcneese state vs lsu

On 26 September 2026, the LSU Tigers hosted the McNeese State Cowboys in a highly anticipated non-conference matchup at Tiger Stadium. The game, which took place just over a week prior to the current date of 3 October 2026, saw the LSU program assert its dominance early, utilizing a high-powered offensive scheme to overwhelm the Cowboys' defensive front. LSU’s starting quarterback orchestrated several scoring drives in the first half, effectively putting the game out of reach before halftime. While McNeese State managed to find the end zone during a brief rally in the third quarter, the depth and talent disparity proved too significant for the visitors to overcome. The final score reflected a decisive victory for the Tigers, who utilized the contest to rotate younger players and refine their playbook ahead of upcoming conference play. For McNeese State, the game served as a challenging test against a premier SEC opponent, providing valuable experience for their roster as they look to refocus on their Southland Conference schedule for the remainder of the season.
