Apple tv spy series slow horses

On 2 October 2026, Apple TV+ officially confirmed the production of a sixth season for its hit espionage thriller, Slow Horses. The announcement comes shortly after the conclusion of the show's fifth season, which continued to garner significant praise for its sharp writing and Gary Oldman’s portrayal of the disheveled yet brilliant Jackson Lamb. The series, based on the Slough House novels by Mick Herron, has become a cornerstone of Apple’s international programming slate. Season six is expected to pick up immediately following the dramatic events of the previous finale, with the team of disgraced MI5 agents facing a new, high-stakes conspiracy that threatens the integrity of the British intelligence service. Production is scheduled to begin in London later this autumn, with the core cast, including Oldman and Jack Lowden, set to return. The renewal underscores Apple’s commitment to the franchise, which has consistently ranked among the platform's most-watched dramas, solidifying its reputation as one of the most successful spy series currently airing on television.
