Wake forest vs nc state football

On 10 October 2026, NC State secured a decisive victory over Wake Forest in their annual Atlantic Coast Conference football matchup. The game, held at Carter-Finley Stadium, saw the Wolfpack offense execute a balanced attack that overwhelmed the Demon Deacons' defensive front early in the first half. NC State’s quarterback orchestrated three consecutive scoring drives, establishing a lead that Wake Forest was unable to overcome despite a late-game surge in the fourth quarter. The Demon Deacons struggled with turnovers throughout the contest, failing to capitalize on key third-down opportunities that could have shifted the momentum. Defensively, NC State remained disciplined, limiting Wake Forest’s explosive passing game and forcing two critical interceptions. This win marks a significant milestone for the Wolfpack as they climb the conference standings, while Wake Forest faces a challenging path forward to regain bowl eligibility. The final score reflected the disparity in execution, with NC State’s special teams also contributing a pivotal field goal in the closing minutes to seal the result.
