Usa vs spain women's basketball box score

On 8 October 2026, the United States women's national basketball team faced off against Spain in a highly anticipated international exhibition match held in Madrid. The USA squad demonstrated their superior depth and tactical precision, ultimately securing a decisive 88-62 victory. The box score highlighted a balanced offensive performance, with the American starting lineup contributing 54 points collectively. A standout performance came from the team's primary playmaker, who recorded a double-double with 18 points and 12 assists, effectively dismantling Spain's defensive rotations. Spain struggled to find rhythm against the USA's aggressive perimeter defense, shooting just 34 percent from the field. Despite the lopsided final score, Spain’s veteran center provided a bright spot for the home crowd, leading all scorers with 22 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. The game served as a critical evaluation period for both coaching staffs as they finalize rosters for upcoming global qualifiers. The USA’s ability to control the glass and capitalize on transition opportunities proved to be the deciding factor in this lopsided contest.
