Barca vs man city

On 12 October 2026, FC Barcelona and Manchester City officially announced that the two European giants will face each other in a high-profile exhibition match scheduled for the upcoming winter break. The encounter is set to take place at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, serving as a strategic fixture for both clubs to maintain match fitness during the mid-season hiatus. Representatives from both organizations highlighted the deep-rooted tactical connections between the clubs, citing the shared footballing philosophies established during the Pep Guardiola era. The match is expected to draw a capacity crowd, with ticket sales opening later this week. Both managers, Hansi Flick and Pep Guardiola, expressed enthusiasm for the meeting, noting that it provides a unique opportunity to test squad depth against elite opposition without the pressure of competitive league points. The event will also feature a series of fan engagement activities and youth coaching clinics, further strengthening the collaborative relationship between the two clubs as they prepare for the second half of the 2026-2027 campaign.
