Is tommy carr related to cj carr

Published: 14 October 2026 The ongoing discussion regarding the lineage of prominent football figures Tommy Carr and CJ Carr has been a frequent topic of interest among sports analysts and fans alike. As of 14 October 2026, it has been confirmed that while both individuals share a surname and a deep-rooted connection to the sport of football, they are not immediate family members. CJ Carr, the highly touted quarterback prospect, is the grandson of legendary Michigan coach Lloyd Carr. His athletic pedigree is well-documented within the context of the University of Michigan’s football history. Conversely, Tommy Carr, known for his own contributions to the sport, does not share a direct genealogical link to the Lloyd Carr family tree. The confusion often stems from the shared prominence of the Carr name within collegiate and professional football circles, leading many to assume a familial relationship that does not exist. Experts emphasize that while both men have made significant impacts in their respective football journeys, their professional paths and personal histories remain distinct and separate entities within the broader landscape of American football.
