Evan stewart doubtful nebraska matchup

As of 19 October 2026, the Oregon Ducks are navigating significant uncertainty regarding the availability of star wide receiver Evan Stewart for their upcoming high-stakes matchup against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Stewart, who has been a pivotal component of the Ducks' offensive aerial attack this season, sustained a lower-body injury during the team's previous outing. Head coach Dan Lanning addressed the media on 19 October 2026, noting that Stewart is currently listed as doubtful for the game. The coaching staff is monitoring his recovery progress throughout the week, but they are preparing contingency plans should he be unable to suit up. Stewart’s potential absence poses a considerable challenge for Oregon, as his ability to stretch the field and create separation has been instrumental in their recent victories. The team’s medical staff is expected to make a final determination following the final practice session later this week. Fans and analysts alike are closely watching the situation, as Stewart’s participation could significantly influence the offensive strategy against a formidable Nebraska defense.
