Paramount dutton ranch season 2 renewal

On 20 October 2026, Paramount+ provided a definitive update regarding the highly anticipated second season of the Yellowstone prequel series, 1923, which chronicles the Dutton family’s history at the ranch. Following significant production delays caused by industry-wide labor disputes and scheduling conflicts, the network confirmed that filming for the sophomore season has officially entered its final stages in Montana. The series, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, remains a cornerstone of the Taylor Sheridan universe, with the new episodes expected to bridge the gap between the post-World War I era and the eventual expansion of the Dutton empire. Executives noted that the narrative scope of the second season is significantly larger than the first, requiring extensive location shooting to capture the harsh realities of the Montana frontier. While a specific premiere date has not been finalized, the network indicated that post-production is moving rapidly, with a targeted release window set for early 2027. Fans can expect the continuation of the intense power struggles and family drama that defined the inaugural season.
