Enes freedom

On 18 October 2026, Enes Freedom participated in a public forum addressing his ongoing transition from professional basketball to full-time human rights advocacy. During the event, Freedom reflected on his career in the NBA and the challenges he faced while speaking out against authoritarian regimes. He emphasized that his focus has shifted entirely toward raising awareness about global political issues, particularly those concerning freedom of speech and religious liberty. Freedom noted that while he maintains a rigorous physical training regimen, he is currently prioritizing his work with international non-governmental organizations over a return to professional sports. He addressed recent rumors regarding potential coaching roles, clarifying that his current commitments are centered on legislative outreach and public speaking engagements across North America and Europe. The discussion highlighted his commitment to maintaining his platform to influence policy and support activists living under oppressive governments. Freedom concluded by stating that his identity is now defined by his activism, and he intends to continue leveraging his public profile to advocate for those whose voices have been silenced by state-sponsored censorship.
