Shedeur sanders lost browns quarterback job

On 21 October 2026, reports circulated regarding the status of Shedeur Sanders within the Cleveland Browns organization. Following a series of inconsistent performances by the team's starting quarterback, speculation emerged suggesting that Sanders, who joined the franchise as a high-profile rookie, had lost his position as the primary signal-caller. However, team officials and Sanders himself addressed the rumors, clarifying that no such demotion has occurred. The coaching staff emphasized that they remain committed to his development despite the team's current struggles on the field. Sanders stated that he is focused on refining his mechanics and adjusting to the speed of the professional game rather than reacting to external narratives. While the Browns have faced significant offensive challenges throughout the 2026 season, the organization maintains that Sanders is their long-term investment. The coaching staff confirmed that he will continue to take first-team repetitions in practice as they prepare for their upcoming divisional matchup, effectively putting an end to the rumors regarding his immediate status as the starting quarterback.
