Jacob duffy on vaibhav sooryavanshi

On 22 October 2026, New Zealand fast bowler Jacob Duffy shared his impressions of young Indian batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi after the two faced off during a high-profile international series. Duffy, who has been mentoring younger players within the squad, highlighted the remarkable composure displayed by the teenager during his recent debut. Despite the immense pressure of international cricket, Duffy noted that Sooryavanshi demonstrated a level of technical maturity and situational awareness rarely seen in players of his age. The veteran pacer emphasized that the youngster’s ability to handle high-velocity deliveries while maintaining a calm demeanor at the crease suggests a bright future for the Indian batting lineup. Duffy’s comments came after a closely contested match where Sooryavanshi anchored a critical partnership, effectively neutralizing the New Zealand bowling attack. The interaction between the two players on the field was described as respectful, with Duffy acknowledging that the young talent is already showing signs of becoming a cornerstone for his national team in the coming years.
