Padres vs dodgers score yesterday

On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, the San Diego Padres secured a crucial 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The win served as a significant statement in the National League West race, as the Padres utilized a combination of strong pitching and timely hitting to overcome their division rivals. San Diego’s starting pitcher delivered a masterful performance, limiting the Dodgers' potent lineup to just two runs over six innings of work. The Padres' offense broke the game open in the fifth inning with a two-run home run that provided the necessary cushion to maintain their lead throughout the remainder of the contest. The Dodgers struggled to generate consistent offense against the Padres' bullpen, which successfully navigated high-leverage situations in the final three frames to seal the win. This result narrows the gap in the division standings as both teams head into the final stretch of the regular season. The victory marks a momentum-shifting moment for San Diego, who continue to demonstrate their postseason readiness against top-tier competition.
