Did the yankees win last night game

On 8 October 2026, the New York Yankees suffered a disappointing defeat against the Kansas City Royals in Game 2 of the American League Division Series. Following a narrow victory in the series opener, the Yankees were unable to maintain their momentum, ultimately falling to the Royals in a contest that leveled the best-of-five series at one game apiece. The Yankees' offense struggled to generate consistent run support throughout the evening, failing to capitalize on key opportunities against the Kansas City pitching staff. Despite a valiant effort from the bullpen to keep the game within reach during the middle innings, the Royals managed to pull away late, securing a crucial road win before the series shifts to Missouri. This loss marks a significant setback for New York as they look to regain home-field advantage. The team now faces the pressure of winning at least one of the upcoming games in Kansas City to keep their championship aspirations alive as the series progresses into the weekend.
