Chelsea vs bournemouth

On 10 October 2026, Chelsea Football Club claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory against AFC Bournemouth in a tightly contested Premier League fixture held at Stamford Bridge. The match, which took place earlier today, saw the home side dominate possession throughout the first half, though they struggled to break down a resilient Bournemouth defensive line. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 72nd minute when Chelsea’s marquee summer signing capitalized on a defensive lapse, firing a clinical strike into the bottom corner of the net. Bournemouth responded with increased intensity in the final ten minutes, forcing the Chelsea goalkeeper into two crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet. Despite the visitors' late pressure and several dangerous counter-attacks, Chelsea managed to hold firm to secure all three points. This result keeps Chelsea within the top four of the league standings, while Bournemouth remains in the mid-table pack. Both managers praised the tactical discipline displayed by their respective squads during this intense encounter, which served as a highlight of the weekend's domestic football action.
