Is ben simmons playing today

As of 11 October 2026, Ben Simmons is not playing in any games today, as the Brooklyn Nets are currently in the midst of their preseason training camp schedule. The veteran point forward has been participating in team practices, but the organization is exercising extreme caution regarding his workload following his well-documented history of back injuries. Coaching staff and medical personnel have confirmed that Simmons will not be active for the team's immediate exhibition matchups to ensure he remains healthy for the start of the regular season. While he has shown positive signs of mobility and conditioning during closed-door sessions, the team’s strategy remains focused on long-term availability rather than immediate preseason participation. Fans hoping to see Simmons on the court will have to wait until the coaching staff clears him for game-speed intensity, which is not expected to happen until the final stages of the preseason or the official season opener later this month. His status remains day-to-day as he continues his rehabilitation and conditioning program.
