Sahil jilani abrams falls search

On 10 October 2026, local authorities in Maryland provided an update regarding the ongoing search for Sahil Jilani, who went missing after an incident at Abrams Falls. The search, which entered its fourth day, has involved coordinated efforts from multiple emergency response agencies, including dive teams, drone operators, and ground search crews. Officials reported that the challenging terrain and high water levels in the area have significantly hampered recovery efforts, necessitating a strategic pause in certain sectors to ensure the safety of the rescue personnel. The incident occurred when Jilani reportedly encountered difficulty while near the falls, leading to a swift response from park rangers and emergency services. Despite the deployment of advanced sonar technology and specialized equipment to navigate the turbulent waters, search teams have yet to locate him. Family members and community volunteers have remained in close contact with the authorities as the search continues. Officials have urged the public to avoid the immediate vicinity of the falls to allow rescue teams to operate without obstruction as they continue their efforts to bring closure to the family.
