Washington st vs oregon state

On 14 October 2026, athletic directors from Washington State University and Oregon State University officially confirmed the finalized football schedule for the remainder of the 2026 season. Following the dissolution of the Pac-12 conference, the two remaining programs have operated under a unique scheduling alliance to maintain high-level competition and media visibility. The upcoming matchup between the Cougars and the Beavers, scheduled for late November, has been designated as the marquee event of their collaborative slate. Both institutions emphasized that this agreement is vital for preserving the historical rivalry and ensuring that both teams remain relevant in the national landscape despite the lack of a traditional conference affiliation. The game is expected to draw significant viewership as both programs vie for postseason consideration. Coaches from both sides noted that the familiarity between the two teams, stemming from their shared history and recent efforts to stabilize their athletic departments, adds an extra layer of intensity to the contest. This scheduling arrangement serves as a bridge for the programs as they continue to navigate the evolving collegiate sports landscape.
