Cf montréal vs seattle sounders standings

On 18 October 2026, the final standings for the 2026 Major League Soccer regular season were confirmed, highlighting the contrasting campaigns of CF Montréal and the Seattle Sounders. CF Montréal concluded their season positioned in the lower half of the Eastern Conference table, failing to secure a postseason berth after a challenging year marked by defensive inconsistencies and a lack of offensive rhythm in the final third. Despite a late-season surge in form, the points deficit proved too significant to overcome. Conversely, the Seattle Sounders finished the regular season near the top of the Western Conference standings, once again demonstrating their perennial status as a league powerhouse. By securing a high seed, the Sounders have earned a favorable path in the upcoming Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, including home-field advantage for the opening rounds. As the league transitions into the postseason, the Sounders are viewed as serious contenders for the championship, while CF Montréal begins an offseason focused on roster reconstruction and strategic adjustments to improve their standing for the 2027 campaign.
