Rockstar gta 6 file size leak

On 24 October 2026, Rockstar Games issued a formal statement to clarify ongoing community speculation regarding the purported file size of Grand Theft Auto VI. Following a series of viral social media posts that claimed to have leaked internal development documents detailing a massive 250GB installation requirement, the studio confirmed that these figures are entirely fabricated. The developer emphasized that while the game is designed to be the most expansive open-world experience in the company's history, the final optimization process is still ongoing. Rockstar noted that such leaks often stem from misinterpreted placeholder data or malicious misinformation campaigns intended to generate engagement. The studio reiterated that official technical specifications, including final storage requirements and hardware recommendations, will be shared through their verified channels closer to the game's scheduled launch window. This clarification serves to temper fan anxiety regarding storage limitations on current-generation consoles, as the community continues to analyze every fragment of information ahead of the highly anticipated title's release.
