Rockets vs spurs

On 28 October 2026, the Houston Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs faced off in a highly anticipated early-season matchup that highlighted the growing rivalry between these two Western Conference franchises. The game, held at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, saw the Spurs secure a narrow 112-108 victory in a contest defined by intense defensive play and star-studded performances. Victor Wembanyama anchored the Spurs' defense with a dominant interior presence, recording five blocks and securing a crucial double-double that kept the Rockets' offense at bay during the final minutes of the fourth quarter. For Houston, the backcourt duo of Jalen Green and Amen Thompson combined for 45 points, keeping the game competitive until the final buzzer. The result marks a significant early win for San Antonio as they look to solidify their playoff positioning, while the Rockets continue to refine their rotation. Both teams demonstrated improved chemistry compared to their previous season meetings, setting the stage for a competitive series as they prepare for their next encounter in mid-November.
