Ben earle crissie rhodes break

On 22 October 2026, the acclaimed British country music duo The Shires, consisting of Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes, officially announced that they are taking an indefinite break from their collaborative work. The pair, who rose to prominence as one of the most successful country acts in UK history, shared the news through a joint statement on their social media platforms. They explained that after over a decade of constant touring, songwriting, and recording, both artists have decided to pursue individual creative projects and spend more time with their families. The duo emphasized that the decision was amicable and rooted in a mutual desire for personal growth rather than any internal conflict. While they did not rule out the possibility of reuniting for future projects or anniversary celebrations, they confirmed that there are no immediate plans for new music or live performances under The Shires name. Fans have expressed both sadness and support for the duo as they transition into this new chapter of their respective careers.
