Rj mosley injury today

On 31 October 2026, the New York Jets officially confirmed that veteran linebacker C.J. Mosley sustained a significant soft-tissue injury during the team’s practice session earlier this week. The injury, which occurred during a non-contact drill, has forced the coaching staff to rule him out for the upcoming divisional matchup this Sunday. Medical evaluations conducted on 30 October 2026 indicate that Mosley will require a multi-week rehabilitation period to address the strain, effectively placing his status for the remainder of the mid-season in jeopardy. Head coach Robert Saleh addressed the media on 31 October 2026, expressing disappointment regarding the loss of the defensive captain’s leadership on the field. While the team has not placed him on injured reserve at this time, they are preparing for a rotation of younger linebackers to fill the void in the starting lineup. Mosley, who has been a cornerstone of the Jets' defense throughout the 2026 campaign, is expected to undergo further imaging next week to determine a more precise timeline for his return to active play.
