Is tyler higbee playing today

As of Monday, 21 September 2026, Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury sustained during the previous postseason. The veteran tight end did not participate in the team's Week 3 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, which took place yesterday, 20 September 2026. Rams head coach Sean McVay confirmed in his post-game press conference that Higbee is still working through his rehabilitation program and has not yet been cleared for full-contact practice. While the team has expressed optimism regarding his eventual return to the field later this season, he remains on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Consequently, Higbee was officially ruled out for Sunday's contest, and there is currently no definitive timeline for his return to the active roster. The Rams have been relying on their depth chart, including Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen, to manage tight end duties while Higbee focuses on regaining full mobility and strength in his surgically repaired knee.
