Is planet fitness open on labor day

On 7 September 2026, Planet Fitness locations across the United States maintained varied operational schedules in observance of Labor Day. While the company is widely recognized for its 24/7 accessibility at many franchise locations, the holiday prompted specific adjustments for several clubs. According to official corporate communications released on the day of the holiday, most Planet Fitness facilities remained open to accommodate members seeking to maintain their fitness routines during the long weekend. However, the company advised that individual club hours were subject to local management decisions, meaning some locations operated on reduced holiday schedules or closed earlier than usual. Members were encouraged to utilize the official Planet Fitness mobile application or the club locator tool on the website to verify the specific hours of their home gym. This decentralized approach ensures that while the brand remains largely accessible, local staffing requirements and regional regulations are respected. The flexibility provided by the chain allowed a significant portion of its membership base to access workout equipment despite the federal holiday, reinforcing the brand's commitment to consistent availability throughout the calendar year.
