When does star wars galactic racer come out

As of 2 October 2026, there is no official announcement or credible rumor regarding a new entry in the Star Wars: Galactic Racer series. The most recent significant development for the franchise remains the high-definition re-release of the classic 1999 title, Star Wars Episode I: Racer, which was brought to modern consoles in 2020. While fans frequently express interest in a modern, high-fidelity remake or a brand-new sequel utilizing current-generation graphics engines, Lucasfilm Games and their publishing partners have not signaled that such a project is currently in development. The gaming landscape for Star Wars has shifted focus toward large-scale open-world titles and narrative-driven action games, leaving the high-speed pod-racing genre largely dormant. Consequently, there is no release date, development window, or confirmed production status for any upcoming Galactic Racer game. Enthusiasts continue to rely on the 2020 re-release to experience the title on contemporary hardware, as the industry remains silent on any plans to revive the cult-classic racing series for the current generation of gaming platforms.
