Is michael jordan the new head coach of the bulls

As of 7 October 2026, the Chicago Bulls organization has officially addressed persistent rumors regarding the potential return of Michael Jordan to the franchise in a coaching capacity. Following a series of social media speculations that gained traction earlier this week, the team’s front office issued a formal statement clarifying that Michael Jordan is not the new head coach of the Chicago Bulls. The organization emphasized that the current coaching staff remains fully intact and focused on the upcoming season’s training camp. While Jordan remains a legendary figure in Chicago sports history, the franchise confirmed that there have been no discussions or negotiations regarding him taking over the head coaching position. The rumors appear to have originated from a misinterpretation of a recent promotional event involving former players. The Bulls management reiterated their commitment to the current coaching leadership and requested that fans rely on official team communications for updates regarding personnel changes. As of this date, the coaching hierarchy remains unchanged, and Jordan continues to focus on his business ventures outside of professional basketball coaching.
