Kiah stokes vs aces

On 12 September 2026, the Las Vegas Aces officially announced that veteran center Kiah Stokes has signed a multi-year contract extension, solidifying her role as a defensive anchor for the franchise. Stokes, who has been a pivotal figure in the team’s recent championship runs, continues to be recognized for her elite rim protection, rebounding prowess, and high basketball IQ. The organization emphasized that her ability to facilitate the offense from the high post and her selfless approach to team defense remain essential components of the Aces' tactical identity. Despite facing stiff competition in the Western Conference throughout the 2026 season, Stokes maintained her reputation as one of the league’s most reliable interior defenders. This extension ensures that the Aces retain their defensive backbone as they look to maintain their status as perennial title contenders. Stokes expressed her commitment to the city of Las Vegas and her desire to secure additional championships alongside her core teammates, marking a significant move for the franchise as they prepare for the upcoming off-season roster adjustments.
