On 3 November 2026, Nebraska Cornhuskers tight end Nate Boerkircher officially announced his intention to forgo his remaining collegiate eligibility and enter the 2027 NFL Draft. The announcement, shared via his social media platforms, marks the conclusion of a productive career in Lincoln where Boerkircher established himself as a reliable target and a disciplined blocker within the Big Ten conference. Throughout the 2026 season, Boerkircher demonstrated significant growth in his route running and ability to find soft spots in zone coverage, drawing attention from league scouts looking for versatile tight ends. Analysts suggest that his physical profile and experience in a pro-style offensive system make him an intriguing prospect for teams seeking depth at the position.
