Is john cena coming back to wwe

On 6 July 2024, John Cena officially confirmed his impending departure from professional wrestling, announcing that 2025 will mark his final year as an active competitor in WWE. During his appearance at the Money in the Bank premium live event, Cena addressed the crowd to clarify his future, stating that he intends to participate in a farewell tour throughout the upcoming calendar year. He emphasized that this tour will include his final appearances at major events such as the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41. While Cena has transitioned into a full-time acting career, he expressed a desire to give back to the fans who supported him for over two decades. As of November 2026, Cena remains retired from full-time in-ring competition, having successfully concluded his farewell tour as planned. He continues to make sporadic, non-wrestling appearances for the company, but there are no current reports or indications that he is planning a return to active wrestling status following his formal retirement.
