Chicago marathon 2027 registration

On 6 October 2026, the Chicago Marathon organizers officially released the registration details for the 2027 event, providing clarity for thousands of prospective runners. Following the conclusion of the 2026 race, officials confirmed that the application window for the 2027 Chicago Marathon will open in early November 2026. The event will continue to utilize a non-guaranteed entry drawing system, which has become the standard procedure for managing the high volume of interest from both domestic and international athletes. The registration process will remain open for a two-week period, allowing participants to submit their applications for the lottery. Organizers emphasized that the selection process will prioritize fairness, with results expected to be announced in mid-December 2026. Additionally, the marathon will maintain its commitment to charity partners and time-qualifier entries, which will have separate windows for registration. As the city prepares for the 2027 edition, officials noted that they are implementing minor adjustments to the entry portal to improve user experience and handle the anticipated surge in traffic during the opening days of the application period.
