Jeffery simmons to the bears

On 27 October 2026, reports emerged suggesting that the Chicago Bears are aggressively pursuing defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans. With the NFL trade deadline approaching, the Bears are looking to bolster their interior defensive line to solidify their playoff push. Analysts indicate that Chicago’s front office has been in contact with Tennessee regarding a potential package involving draft capital, as the Titans appear to be shifting toward a rebuilding phase. Simmons, a perennial Pro Bowl talent, would provide an immediate upgrade to the Bears' pass rush and run defense. While no official deal has been finalized, league insiders suggest that the two organizations are currently negotiating the specific terms of the compensation. The Bears are reportedly willing to part with high-round picks to secure a cornerstone player of Simmons' caliber. Fans and media alike are closely monitoring the situation, as a move of this magnitude would significantly alter the defensive landscape of the NFC North as the season enters its second half.
