On 28 October 2026, league analysts revisited the persistent tension between Phoenix Suns center Drew Eubanks and Detroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart. The rivalry, which famously escalated into a physical altercation in the tunnels of the Footprint Center during the 2024 season, remains a point of interest for fans and league officials alike. While both players have moved forward in their respective careers, the incident continues to serve as a benchmark for the NBA’s strict enforcement of conduct policies regarding player interactions outside of active gameplay. Recent reports indicate that the league maintains a heightened awareness of their matchups to prevent any recurrence of the previous confrontation. As the 2026-2027 season progresses, both Eubanks and Stewart have focused on their on-court contributions, aiming to distance themselves from the past controversy. Despite the professional distance maintained by both organizations, the history between the two players remains a notable narrative thread whenever their teams are scheduled to face one another on the hardwood.
