Premier sports campus at lakewood ranch

On 28 October 2026, officials representing the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch unveiled a comprehensive expansion strategy aimed at solidifying the facility's status as a premier destination for youth and professional athletics in Florida. The development plan includes the addition of six new multi-purpose synthetic turf fields, which are designed to accommodate high-intensity sports such as soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey throughout the year. This infrastructure upgrade is intended to address the increasing demand for tournament-grade venues in the region, which has seen a significant uptick in regional and national event bookings. The project also features enhanced spectator amenities, including expanded seating capacity and improved lighting systems to facilitate evening competitions. Management stated that these improvements are scheduled to break ground in early 2027, with the goal of attracting larger-scale athletic tournaments that will provide a substantial economic boost to the Lakewood Ranch community. The expansion reflects the campus's ongoing commitment to supporting local sports development while maintaining its competitive edge in the national sports tourism market.
