Will richard warriors

On 4 November 2026, the Golden State Warriors officially announced the signing of Will Richard to a two-way contract following an impressive stint with the team’s G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. Richard, a standout wing known for his perimeter shooting and defensive versatility, had been competing for a roster spot throughout the preseason. The front office expressed confidence that his ability to space the floor and adapt to the Warriors' high-motion offensive system makes him an ideal candidate for development within their developmental pipeline. The decision to bring Richard onto the active roster comes as the Warriors look to bolster their depth during a demanding early-season schedule. Coaching staff noted that Richard’s performance in recent scrimmages demonstrated a high basketball IQ and a seamless transition into the team's defensive schemes. While he will split time between the NBA and the G League, the organization expects him to provide immediate energy off the bench when called upon. Richard is slated to join the team for their upcoming road trip, marking his first official appearance on an NBA active roster.
