When does the new fortnite season come out

On 30 October 2026, Epic Games officially confirmed the release schedule for the upcoming transition in Fortnite. Following the conclusion of the current season, Chapter 6 Season 1 is scheduled to launch on 1 December 2026. This highly anticipated update marks a significant shift in the game's narrative and mechanical landscape, as the developers prepare to rotate out the existing map and introduce a fresh suite of gameplay features. The announcement clarifies that the current season will conclude with a live event on the evening of 30 November, leading into a brief period of server downtime to facilitate the transition. Players have been advised to complete their current Battle Pass objectives before the 1 December deadline, as all seasonal progress will reset upon the arrival of the new chapter. The update is expected to bring substantial changes to the loot pool, map geometry, and core movement mechanics, continuing the tradition of major seasonal overhauls that define the Fortnite experience as it enters its next major chapter.
